Civita hosts second edition of Borghi di Gusto wine festival

On 2 August, the town of Civita in the Pollino National Park will hold the second edition of the Borghi di Gusto wine festival in the municipal council chamber. The event, organized with the Consorzio di Tutela Terre di Cosenza, the regional agency Arsac and the Calabria Straordinaria brand, aims to showcase the autochthonous grape varieties of the Pollino area and promote the pairing of local wines with food.

Francesco Nicoletti, a local enogastronomy expert, announced the programme, which includes technical talks by Gennaro Convertini (president of the Regional Enoteca), Barbara Fasano (director of the Consorzio Terre di Cosenza), Maurizio Rodighiero (president of the Accademia del Magliocco) and Fulvia Michela Caligiuri (general director of Arsac). Municipal officials – Mayor Alessandro Toccie and Vice‑Mayor Antonio Vavolizza – will open the meeting, and regional councilor Elisabetta Santoianni and Agriculture Assessor Gianluca Gallo will conclude it. Several local wineries will present their products at stands throughout the conference.
