Civitanova Marche shop owner reported for selling alcohol to minors

A 51-year-old minimarket owner in Civitanova Marche has been reported to judicial authorities by the State Police for selling alcoholic beverages to minors under the age of 16. During inspections conducted by the Administrative and Social Police Division of the Macerata Police Headquarters, officers observed youths purchasing beer and leaving the premises.

One minor reported that the merchant did not request identification and had opened the bottles inside the shop. The transaction, totaling six euros, was completed without the issuance of a fiscal receipt. Additionally, irregularities regarding electronic payment systems were discovered and will be referred to the Guardia di Finanza for further investigation.

This is not the first incident involving the establishment. In January 2026, the owner received a 15-day closure order for similar violations under the Consolidated Law on Public Safety. The police continue to conduct inspections to ensure compliance with regulations regarding the sale of alcohol and the protection of minors.
