Civitaquana hosts fourth Civitas Aquana ultramarathon

The fourth edition of the Civitas Aquana endurance running event took place on Sunday, August 23, 2026, in Civitaquana, Italy. Organized by ASD MC Manoppello Sogeda, the competition expanded this year to include 6-hour, 8-hour, and 12-hour races.

Approximately 80 ultramarathon runners participated in the event, which utilized an asphalt circuit through the town. The 8-hour race saw the highest participation with 33 athletes. Notable winners included Antonio Zaini, who covered 119.618 km in the 12-hour men's category, and Sabrina Chiappa, who covered 99.646 km in the 12-hour women's category.

In the 8-hour men's race, Andrea D’Agostino took first place with 71.390 km, while Angela De Sario led the 8-hour women's category with 72.472 km. The 6-hour men's winner was Antonello Pattara (59.241 km) and the 6-hour women's winner was Manuela Di Tella (50.815 km).
