Civitavecchia hosts marine inclusion and environmental project
In Civitavecchia, the “Un Mare di Inclusione – Ogni goccia conta” project, promoted by Ambiente Mare Italia (AMI), brought together hundreds of students, people with disabilities, and volunteers for an environmental and social initiative.
Participants engaged in educational activities led by experts to learn about marine ecosystems, the impact of plastic pollution, and coastal protection. The event included a practical beach cleanup to remove foreign materials from the shoreline. The initiative aimed to combine environmental education with social inclusion, fostering mutual understanding through shared activities in nature.
Italian Minister for Disabilities Alessandra Locatelli highlighted the project's value, stating that “inclusion is built by creating concrete opportunities for encounter, relationship, and full participation.”
