Civitavecchia to host event on Saint Francis and Saint Clare

FIDAPA BPW Italy – Civitavecchia Section, in collaboration with the Diocese of Civitavecchia-Tarquinia and the Municipality of Civitavecchia, is organizing a cultural and spiritual event titled “Beyond the Shadow of Francis. Clare: the female face of the Franciscan revolution.”

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 6, at 5:30 PM at the Parish of San Felice da Cantalice. Following institutional greetings from the Bishop and the Mayor, several speakers including Enrico Ciancarini, Carlo Alberto Falzetti, Father Antonio Matalone, Sister Maria Giuseppina Tapia Jaldin, and Tiziana De Spirito will offer reflections on Saint Francis of Assisi and Saint Clare.

Marking the eighth centenary of Saint Francis's death, the event aims to highlight his messages of peace and fraternity. It will also focus on the spiritual legacy of Saint Clare, noting her historical significance as the first woman in Church history to draft a Rule for a female religious order.
