Civitella Roveto announces safety and traffic measures for festival

The municipality of Civitella Roveto has announced significant traffic and safety measures for the “Lungo le Antiche Rue 2026” food and wine festival, scheduled for October 16–18, 2026.

To manage the expected influx of visitors, Mayor Luciano Scalisi has issued an ordinance to maintain public order and safety. The measures include an absolute ban on the takeaway sale of spirits, which may only be consumed within authorized establishments. Additionally, the sale of beverages in glass bottles, glass cups, or metal cans is prohibited, as is the possession of potentially dangerous rigid containers within the historic center and surrounding areas. These safety rules are in effect from 18:00 on October 16 until 02:00 on October 19.

Traffic regulations will also be implemented, with specific closures on the SS 690 Avezzano-Sora highway, affecting exit ramps in both the Sora and Avezzano directions. Parking bans and forced removals are scheduled across various streets in the historic center, including Via Roma and Via G. D’Annunzio, starting from October 13 to facilitate the setup and dismantling of event structures.
