Ciwidey hosts Tabligh Akbar and social aid event
Thousands of residents gathered in Ciwidey, Bandung Regency, for a large-scale religious gathering known as Tabligh Akbar. The event was held to commemorate both the 81st Anniversary of Indonesian Independence and the Prophet Muhammad's Birthday (Maulid Nabi).
The event was led by Lieutenant General Iwan Setiawan, Commander of the Infantry Center (Danpussenif). Setiawan, who noted that Ciwidey is his birthplace and a significant location for his military training, described the high level of community enthusiasm as a source of pride.
In addition to religious teachings and communal prayers, the event included social welfare initiatives. Organizers distributed 3,000 free nutritious meal packages and basic food necessities (sembako) to the local community to assist with economic needs.
