Cizre commemorates 75th anniversary of Imam Hatip schools

A commemorative program was held at the Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Imam Hatip Secondary School in the Cizre district of Şırnak to mark the 75th anniversary of the reopening of Imam Hatip schools. The event was attended by Cizre District Director of National Education Şahan İke, school administrators, teachers, parents, and students.

The ceremony included a moment of silence, the Turkish National Anthem, and Quranic recitation. Participants honored Mahmut Celalettin Ökten and former Minister of National Education Tevfik İleri for their roles in the schools' reopening.

During the program, officials discussed the ‘Türkiye Century Education Model,’ emphasizing the goal of raising generations equipped with both academic success and national, spiritual, and human values. Şahan İke described the educational vision as ‘double-winged,’ combining science, technology, and coding with morality and traditional values.
