Cizre hosts ceremony for girls choosing to wear hijab
In Cizre, Şırnak, the Botan Peygamber Sevdalıları Derneği organized a program titled ‘Niyet Ettim Örtünmeye, Emrin Başım Üstüne’ to celebrate hundreds of young girls who have decided to wear the hijab.
The event began at the İsmail Ebul-iz El Cezeri suspension bridge, where the participants marched with banners to Raze Mira Park. The program included Quranic recitation by Ebrar Gözüngül, hymns, and stage performances emphasizing the significance of the hijab.
During her opening speech, Fatime Gül highlighted that the hijab is not merely a style of dress but a reflection of heart, morality, and stance. She emphasized that teaching the hijab is a way of teaching girls their values, identity, and nobility, noting that mothers serve as the most influential teachers in this process.
