CJ Carr leads Notre Dame to victory over Rice

Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr delivered a standout performance in a 52-0 victory over Rice, earning a Pro Football Focus (PFF) grade of 94.3. This mark is currently the highest grade recorded for any player in college football this season. Carr completed 16 of 20 passes for 253 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions.

While the passing game excelled, the Notre Dame rushing attack showed signs of inconsistency. Assumed starter Aneyas Williams struggled, totaling 29 yards on nine carries with a 3.2 yards-per-attempt average. In contrast, Nolan James, Jr. appeared more efficient, recording two touchdowns on six carries for 29 yards, averaging 4.8 yards per carry.
