CJ Logistics expands heat‑wave support for delivery workers in South Korea

CJ Logistics dispatched coffee trucks to major parcel‑terminal sites across South Korea on August 4, providing cold drinks, bottled water and cooling items such as Cool‑Tosh vests to frontline delivery staff. Company executives, including Yoon Jae‑seung, head of the O‑NE division, and Jeon Hyun‑seok, head of the agency association, thanked workers and highlighted the initiative as part of broader heat‑illness prevention measures.

The firm also reinforced safety policies, installing fans, ice‑making machines and salt‑water dispensers at terminals and extending its unique “work‑stop” and “liability‑exemption” rights that let drivers suspend deliveries during extreme heat or rain without penalty. CJ Logistics has offered fully‑paid health screenings for drivers since 2013 and continues to expand welfare programs to protect employee health during the summer heat.
