CJ Olive Young launches mobile AI skin diagnosis service

CJ Olive Young has launched a mobile skin diagnosis service within its application, expanding its existing in-store ‘Skin Scan’ experiential beauty service to a digital platform. The service allows users to analyze their skin condition by completing an electronic questionnaire and uploading a photo or taking a selfie.

Using AI technology, the app analyzes various factors including skin type, pores, pigmentation, moisture levels, oiliness, and wrinkles. Based on these results, the service provides personalized skincare routines and product recommendations.

To further enhance its omnichannel strategy, the company plans to introduce additional features later this year, such as ‘Skin Change Reports’ and personal color diagnosis. CJ Olive Young also intends to expand its self-diagnosis lineup to include scalp analysis and personal color services under its registered ‘Skin Scan’ trademark.
