CJP workers attacked during school inspection in Rajasthan

On August 21, members of the Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP), led by co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka, were reportedly attacked while visiting Rampura-Kanwarpura village in Rajasthan’s Jaipur district. The team was in the region as part of the ‘School Theek Karo’ campaign to inspect a government school that had allegedly been operating out of a buffalo shed in poor condition.

Following the incident, local BJP MLA Kailash Verma alleged that CJP workers had terrorized residents and claimed the workers smashed their own vehicle windows to gain sympathy. However, video evidence appears to contradict these claims, showing an individual smashing the windows of CJP vehicles and assaulting a person with a stick. The individual in the footage reportedly identified himself as being with the BJP and was seen standing near MLA Verma during a media address.
