CLAI expands meat product range into retail market

The food cooperative CLAI is expanding its presence in the fresh meat market by introducing three new branded products: hamburgers, mini hamburgers, and ham and cheese sandwiches. This strategic move aims to capture the growing self-service retail segment, where consumers increasingly purchase pre-packaged meat rather than using traditional service counters.

Developed in collaboration with CEM, a cooperative specializing in meat packaging technologies, the new products utilize beef and pork sourced from animals raised and bred in Italy. The product range includes 150g vacuum-sealed hamburgers, six-piece mini hamburger packs, and sandwiches packaged in protective atmospheres to ensure shelf life and quality.
