Clara Brugada distributes school supply support in Mexico City

Mexico City Head of Government Clara Brugada Molina led an initiative to distribute financial support for school uniforms and supplies to secondary school students. During an event at Ciudad Deportiva Magdalena Mixiuhca in the Iztacalco borough, Brugada announced that each recipient would receive 1,180 pesos to assist families with back-to-school expenses.

According to the administration, over 90,000 secondary and preschool students have joined the support scheme in just two weeks. The program is projected to have a budget of up to 704 million pesos by 2026, aiming to benefit approximately 700,000 students. Brugada emphasized that these resources are intended to prevent economic disparities among students and alleviate the financial burden on families during the month of September.
