Mexico City inaugurates Utopía México-Tenochtitlan youth center

Mexico City Mayor Clara Brugada Molina has inaugurated the Utopía México-Tenochtitlan ‘Estación Creativa’ in the Miguel Hidalgo borough. This facility, covering nearly 4,000 square meters, is the eighth in a network of community spaces designed to provide free access to culture, technology, and health services.

The center is specifically tailored to youth, featuring amenities such as robotics labs, digital dance classrooms, a gaming room with simulators, music recording studios, and immersive reality rooms. It also integrates the Public Care System, offering services like community dining, laundry, and health clinics for physical and mental well-being.

Located near the Colegio Militar metro station, the site holds historical significance as an area associated with the 1971 student repression. The project involved an investment of 52 million pesos and aims to reduce social inequality by providing high-quality public infrastructure in diverse urban areas.
