Clara Luz Flores files complaints against Nuevo León Governor Samuel García
Clara Luz Flores, the Morena coordinator in Nuevo León, has filed two complaints with the Attorney General's Office (FGR) against Governor Samuel García, his wife Mariana Rodríguez, and Monterrey Mayor Adrián de la Garza for alleged crimes involving public resources.
In the first complaint, Flores accuses the Governor, his wife, and his father of organized crime, embezzlement, illicit enrichment, and operations with resources of illicit origin. She alleges a triangulation of state funds totaling approximately 7.2 billion pesos toward providers who then transferred money to firms linked to the Governor's family.
The second complaint targets De la Garza and former municipal comptroller Jovita Morín Flores regarding alleged irregularities in a contract with Next Energy for a solar park, which reportedly caused 7.37 billion pesos in damages to the municipality. Flores has also requested investigations into contracts worth 110 million pesos involving companies sanctioned by United States authorities.
Simultaneously, Senator Adán Augusto López Hernández is reportedly intervening to reorganize Morena in Nuevo León. His efforts aim to strengthen the political project of Flores amid internal friction with the Labor Party (PT) and the Green Ecological Party of Mexico (PVEM), both of which are considering independent electoral paths.
