Clara Ramalhão to present pandemic photography at Ordem dos Médicos

The photographic work ‘Memórias Intensivas – um olhar emocional sobre um serviço de medicina intensiva em tempos de pandemia’ will be presented at the Northern Regional Section of the Ordem dos Médicos on September 29.

Created by Clara Ramalhão, a neuroradiologist and photographer, the book captures the daily life and emotional experiences within the Intensive Care Unit of Hospital Pedro Hispano during the Covid-19 pandemic. The work is described as a humanist reflection and a historical testimony of a significant period in modern medicine and human history.

The presentation at the Culture and Congress Center will feature opening remarks by José Torres Costa, President of the Regional Council of the North, along with contributions from preface author Manuel Sobrinho Simões and journalist Carlos Magno.
