Claranet named leading AI‑ready infrastructure and data‑sovereign cloud provider for German mid‑size firms

The Information Services Group (ISG) repeated its assessment of Claranet in the "ISG Provider Lens® Private/Hybrid Cloud – Data Center Services 2026" study, naming the company a leading provider for the German mid‑market. Claranet is positioned in two Leader quadrants – AI‑ready Infrastructure Managed Services and Managed Cloud Hosting and Resilient Infrastructure Services – out of a pool of more than 100 evaluated providers.

Analysts highlighted Claranet’s Kubernetes expertise, which underpins automated deployment, scaling and operation of containerised AI workloads. The firm also offers an integrated security and compliance framework aligned with BSI C5 and the NIS‑2 directive, reducing executive liability. Under NIS‑2, company leaders can face fines of up to €10 million or 2 % of global annual turnover for cyber‑security breaches.

Claranet’s cloud portfolio spans AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and private‑cloud environments, delivering flexible private, hybrid and public models. Its hosting services are GDPR‑compliant and Schrems‑II‑secure, with data processing kept within Germany – a key requirement for critical‑infrastructure sectors such as energy, health and finance. According to the Bitkom Cloud Report 2026, 85 % of surveyed firms view Germany as overly dependent on US cloud providers, underscoring the relevance of Claranet’s data‑sovereignty focus.
