Clare launches Women’s Health Week 2026 programme
Women’s Health Week 2026 has been launched in County Clare, Ireland, running from Monday, September 28 to Sunday, October 4. The initiative, themed ‘Strong at Every Age – Strong Bones. Strong Hearts. Strong Minds.’, aims to support women and girls through various health-focused activities.
Led by Clare County Council in partnership with the HSE, Tusla, and the Clare Local Sports Partnership, the programme includes a dedicated school initiative for teenage girls focusing on menstrual health, mental wellbeing, and self-confidence. For adult women, community events will address bone and cardiovascular health, nutrition, strength training, and healthy ageing.
In addition to local events, a series of expert-led discussions will be broadcast on Clare FM’s Morning Focus throughout the week. The launch was held at St Anne’s Community College in Killaloe, featuring Women’s Health Week Ambassador and former Irish rugby international Rosie Foley.
