Claremont McKenna College President William Dudley addresses students

William C. Dudley delivered his first public address as the sixth president of Claremont McKenna College during the institution’s 80th convocation ceremony. Addressing the class of 2030, Dudley encouraged students to embrace curiosity, openness, and discernment while finding their personal callings.

Dudley, who assumed the presidency on July 1 following a tenure as president of Washington and Lee University, emphasized the importance of collective identity, stating, “None of us can be who we are individually without all of us being here collectively.”
