Clarence Seedorf watches Corinthians match from stands due to visa issues
New Corinthians manager Clarence Seedorf was unable to lead his team from the sidelines during their 1-1 draw against Vitória in the Brasileirão. Due to delays in processing his work visa and registration in the CBF’s Daily Information Bulletin (BID), Seedorf had to watch the match from the stands at the Neo Química Arena.
Despite being unable to occupy the technical area, Seedorf communicated with assistant coach Léo Porto via radio and interacted with supporters, even participating in the traditional ‘poropopó’ chant. The draw helps Corinthians maintain its position in 16th place, moving them ahead of Internacional in the standings as they fight to avoid relegation.
Internal challenges continue for the club, as defender Gabriel Paulista recently raised concerns regarding unpaid salaries. In response to the team's recent struggles and the current atmosphere, Seedorf has implemented new training protocols, including doubling training sessions and focusing on positive club history to inspire the squad.
