Claressa Shields Holds Fan Event in Atlanta Ahead of Historic Title Fight

Undisputed boxing champion Claressa "T‑Rex" Shields hosted a meet‑and‑greet at Buckhead Fight Club in Atlanta, where fans lined up for autographs, photos and personal encouragement. The champion interacted with young athletes, lifted a boy onto her shoulders and spoke about inspiring Black girls and the dedication required for success.

Shields is preparing for a historic bout on August 15 at State Farm Arena, where she will face unified WBC and WBA heavyweight champion Kaye Scott. The fight will be the first women's main event at the venue and could see Shields join Roy Jones Jr. as the only heavyweight champion in more than a century to capture a world title after moving up from a lower weight class.
