Claressa Shields requests Beyoncé for final boxing ring walk

Undisputed boxing champion Claressa Shields has expressed a desire for music icon Beyoncé to perform during her final ring walk before she retires from the sport.

During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, the 31-year-old athlete stated that having Beyoncé walk her out is her only remaining bucket list item. Shields suggested that the singer could perform for any duration, whether 30 seconds or a minute, and choose her own song. Shields indicated she intends to continue fighting until she is 38 years old.

This request follows Shields’ recent sixth-round stoppage victory against Kaye Scott, a win that secured her WBA and WBC middleweight belts and maintained her undefeated record. While Shields has discussed potential future opponents such as Mikaela Mayer and Lauren Price, she clarified that the request for Beyoncé is a retirement wish rather than a specific booking for an upcoming fight.
