Claretian Missionaries hold assembly in Spain as Ancud indigenous groups form new dialogue table

In Spain, the Claretian Missionaries' Santiago Province held its annual assembly of community superiors in Colmenar Viejo, Madrid. Led by Provincial Superior Father Adolfo Lamata, the meeting focused on the roles of local leaders in guiding communities according to Claretian traditions. The assembly addressed practical cases and the importance of fostering fraternity and mission-driven decision-making as the province prepares for its next General Chapter.

In Chile, indigenous communities in Ancud formally established the Table of Indigenous Communities and Associations of the Ancud Territory. This new body aims to strengthen dialogue and coordination between native organizations and state institutions. Attended by local authorities, including Mayor Andrés Ojeda Cares and representatives from the National Corporation for Indigenous Development (CONADI), the group seeks to address territorial demands and ensure that public policies incorporate cultural relevance to meet the specific needs of indigenous populations.
