Clariana Barão presents presidential platform and security proposals

Clariana Barão, the presidential candidate for the Christian Democracy (Democracia Cristã) party, has presented her government platform centered on six key pillars: women and children, economy, education, security, health, and state management.

In the area of public security, Barão aims to combat criminal factions by reclaiming control of the prison system, which she claims allows gang leaders to operate via ‘home office’ from within facilities. Her proposals include border monitoring, tracking organized crime finances, and implementing data-driven urban policing.

Her economic plan focuses on regulatory simplification, credit for small businesses, and public-private partnerships for infrastructure. For health, she proposes expanding primary care, increasing national production of medical supplies, and integrating telemedicine into the Unified Health System (SUS).

Additionally, Barão emphasized her commitment to female representation, stating her intention to form a government with at least 50% female participation across all sectors.
