Clarisse Agbégnénou wins bronze at Lausanne Grand Slam

Clarisse Agbégnénou has secured a bronze medal in the -63 kg category at the Lausanne Grand Slam. This marks her return to competition just five months after giving birth to her second child.

The 33-year-old French-Togolese judoka noted that her return was carefully managed with professional support to respect her physical recovery. To accommodate her needs, the International Judo Federation provided a breastfeeding room near the warm-up area.

Agbégnénou dedicated the medal to her father, who passed away in April. She described the achievement as deeply emotional, noting it was her first competition without him.
