Clarity Act support grows among crypto executives
Industry leaders are advocating for the passage of the Clarity Act in the United States, a legislative proposal aimed at establishing federal rules for digital assets. Tom Farley, CEO of Bullish, stated that legal clarity is essential to increase institutional participation and accelerate the tokenization of assets. He noted that while the traditional crypto market faces challenges, the tokenization of securities—transforming traditional assets into digital blockchain records—represents a massive potential market. Farley suggested that clear regulatory parameters would provide the legal security necessary for banks and brokerages to offer digital asset services.
Matthew Sigel, Head of Digital Asset Research at VanEck, echoed this sentiment, predicting an enormous rally in cryptocurrencies if the Act passes. Sigel argued that a regulatory framework providing transparency and openness is the most critical threshold for attracting institutional capital. He observed that institutional adoption has not yet met expected paces and noted that many investors are currently gravitating toward permissioned or institutional chains that offer more predictable transaction fees.
