Clarity Act uncertainty impacts cryptocurrency markets

The cryptocurrency market is experiencing volatility as investors await developments regarding the Clarity Act in the United States. This proposed legislation aims to establish a regulatory framework for digital assets, but political negotiations between Republicans and Democrats in the U.S. Senate have reached a stalemate. Consequently, prediction markets have significantly reduced the probability of the bill passing within the current year.

In response to the regulatory uncertainty, Bitcoin has seen a price decline of approximately 1.7%, trading near the $76,800 level. Ethereum has also experienced a decrease of roughly 1.66%. Analysts suggest that a clearer regulatory environment could specifically benefit assets such as Ether, Solana, and XRP.

Meanwhile, in Europe, the European Central Bank is advancing its digital currency initiatives by launching a 12-month pilot program for the digital euro, inviting merchants to participate in the testing phase.
