Clark County, Nevada accused of discrimination in EEOC filing

Cristle Ramey, a Trinidadian immigrant, has filed a discrimination charge against Clark County, Nevada, with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Nevada Equal Rights Commission.

Ramey, who has been with the county since 2023, alleges she was subjected to national origin discrimination, disability discrimination, and retaliation. She claims that following her promotion to Office Services Manager in April 2025, she was stripped of her responsibilities and questioned regarding her immigration status.

Prior to these allegations, Ramey worked within Real Property Management, where she claims her administrative improvements helped return approximately $13 million in dormant public funds to availability. Clark County has declined to comment on the matter, citing personnel policies.
