Clarkstown officials launch investigation after highway boss confronts supervisor

A formal workplace violence investigation and a police report have been initiated in Clarkstown, New York, following a heated confrontation during a press conference. Video footage shows Highway Superintendent Bob Milone being restrained by an employee while shouting at Town Supervisor George Hoehmann.

The incident occurred during a public announcement regarding repairs to a trailway near Congers Lake. Hoehmann alleged that Milone became “verbally aggressive and physically stalked” him after being asked to stand in the audience rather than at the podium, as he was not an invited participant in the briefing.

In the footage, Milone is heard yelling, “Who the hell do you think you’re talking to, George? You could bully everybody else in this town.” The Town of Clarkstown confirmed that the Safety Compliance Officer has been notified and stated that the municipality takes violations of workplace safety and threats of violence seriously.
