Clarus Corp reports Q2 profit boost from tariff refund
Clarus Corp (NASDAQ: CLAR) announced second‑quarter 2026 results with sales of $56.2 million, a 1.6% year‑over‑year increase. Gross margin rose to 48.9% from 35.6% after a $6.1 million refund of International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) tariffs, which reduced cost of goods sold by roughly 1,090 basis points. Net income was $4.7 million, or $0.12 per diluted share, reversing a loss of $8.4 million a year earlier. Adjusted net income reached $6.8 million and adjusted EBITDA was $7.6 million, delivering a 13.6% margin.
The company ended the quarter debt‑free with $28.9 million in cash, repurchased 153,331 shares for about $0.4 million and completed the acquisition of ONWRD Supply Co. For 2026, Clarus reaffirmed its sales guidance of $245‑$255 million and projects adjusted EBITDA of $12‑$13 million, while a strategic‑alternatives review remains ongoing.
