Clash Royale board game reaches Kickstarter goal in under one hour

The upcoming board game adaptation, ‘Clash Royale: The Grand Arena’, has surpassed its initial $25,000 Kickstarter goal in less than one hour of its launch. The project is a collaboration between Maestro Media and Supercell.

Designed for 2-4 players, the game utilizes a turn-based card play system centered on elixir spending to mimic the experience of the mobile original. Players use eight-card decks built around a chosen Champion to attempt to destroy opponent towers and collect crowns. Lead designer David Gordon stated that the goal was to create a fun experience for strategy game fans, even those unfamiliar with the video game.

This follows a previous successful collaboration between Maestro Media and Supercell for the ‘Clash of Clans: The Epic Raid’ board game, which raised over $500,000 via Kickstarter.
