Classic automobiles highlight automotive history and personal passion

Automotive enthusiasts celebrate the enduring legacy of classic vehicles, ranging from personal historical connections to rare racing prototypes.

Alexandru Airoaei has reconnected with his passion for Mercedes-Benz by acquiring a 1982 Mercedes 200. The vehicle, which has been preserved in its original condition, serves as a way to recapture a personal history following the loss of his first Mercedes E200 at age 18. The car is currently part of the Associazione Volanti Storici Ladispoli.

In the realm of rare racing history, the Dino 206 S remains a significant piece of automotive art. Designed by Carrozzeria Drogo with sculptural volumes reminiscent of the 330 P3, this 6-cylinder racing prototype was intended to have 50 units produced. However, due to social tensions and labor unrest in 1966, only sixteen examples were ever created, making it a highly sought-after model among collectors.
