Gran Premio Argentino Histórico features 100+ classic cars

The XXIII Gran Premio Argentino Histórico (GPAH), organized by the Automóvil Club Argentino (ACA), is currently underway. This major national regularity competition features more than 100 classic and historical vehicles traveling through several provinces, including Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Catamarca, and San Juan.

The event began with a symbolic start in Buenos Aires and a central ceremony in Luján, where vehicles were blessed by authorities from the National Basilica. The route includes stages such as Luján–Alta Gracia, Alta Gracia–Catamarca, Catamarca–San Juan, and San Juan–Córdoba. This edition includes a “Contemporáneos” category for vehicles manufactured from 1985 onwards.

In addition to the sporting aspect, the competition serves as a mobile museum and a charitable initiative, collecting non-perishable food for Cáritas Argentina. A notable guest for this edition is the 96-year-old Polish driver Sobiesław Zasada. The event is expected to provide a boost to local economies through tourism and hospitality services.
