Classic TT: McGuinness and Dunlop secure major victories

The 2026 Classic TT on the Isle of Man featured significant victories for veteran road racers. John McGuinness, 54, secured a win in the Historic Senior category riding a Paton for the Winfield team. This victory marks his 24th win at the Mountain Course and ends a seven-year drought in road racing, occurring on the 30th anniversary of his debut at the event.

In the Senior Classic TT, Michael Dunlop claimed his third victory of the 2026 Classic TT. Competing on a Suzuki GSX-R750 SRAD, Dunlop maintained a lead throughout the four-lap race, finishing 11.68 seconds ahead of Jamie Coward. His win followed a period of technical scrutiny where his team had to disassemble his engine due to a protest prior to the final.

Both races saw high attrition rates, with only a portion of the starting field completing the full distance on the Snaefell Mountain Course.
