Classical music concerts scheduled in Lima

Lima will host two significant classical music events this November. On November 23, the Teatro Municipal de Lima will feature a Russian lyrical gala. The performance includes four Russian soloists—baritones Maksim Shabanov and Maksim Papulov, tenor Ian Gerasimov, and bass Iván Grigorev—accompanied by the 38-piece Harmony Symphony Orchestra directed by Vladimir Guzmán. The program will include works by Tchaikovsky and Rimsky-Korsakov, organized by the Universidad Particular San Martín de Porres.

Additionally, the Orquesta Filarmónica de Lima will present ‘Italiana y Trágica’ on November 8 at the Club de la Unión. Under the direction of guest conductor Matteo Pagliari, the concert will feature Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 4 in C minor, ‘Tragic’, and Felix Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4 in A major, ‘Italian’.
