Classical music events scheduled in Lugoj and Cluj-Napoca

Several musical events are scheduled across Romania in September 2026, focusing on bringing classical music to unconventional public spaces.

As part of the ninth edition of the Eufonia Festival, a chamber music concert will take place on September 17 at the Neolog Synagogue in Lugoj. The 'On the Road' segment of the festival features musicians Vlad Popescu, Kaori Yamagami, and Florian Peelman performing works by Beethoven, Kurtág, and others to reach diverse communities outside traditional concert halls.

In Cluj-Napoca, the New Hope Orchestra will perform a 'Concert for Peace' on September 21 to mark International Day of Peace. Held on Iuliu Maniu Street, the outdoor symphonic event aims to use music as a metaphor for dialogue and solidarity. The orchestra, consisting of 60 musicians, intends to transform the city's architectural heritage into a living cultural setting.
