Classical music festivals and concerts scheduled in Lithuania

Lithuania is hosting several classical music events, including the sixth annual ‘Kultūros dienos’ international classical music festival in Marijampolė and the Sūduva region. Running from September 4 to 24, the festival features a diverse program spanning symphonic music, contemporary music theater, circus, and dance. The opening event includes a performance of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony by the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra from Latvia, accompanied by the Lithuanian State Choir ‘Vilnius’ and various soloists.

Additionally, the Baltic Guitar Quartet will perform ‘Baltic Colors, Southern Rhythms’ at the Burbiškis Manor History Museum in the Radviliškis district on September 6. The quartet’s repertoire includes works by Nejc Kuhar, Mykola Leontovych, M. K. Čiurlionis, and Fausto Latėnas, as well as pieces by Astor Piazzolla and Edward Elgar.
