Classical music festivals conclude successful seasons in Germany and Switzerland

The 17th International Summer Academy concluded with a series of performances featuring various soloists. Highlights included a Mozart violin concerto performed by Yunong Wang and several piano concertos by Mozart, featuring soloists Laetitia Hahn, Jukyeong Park, and Florian Albrecht. The program also included works by Karol Szymanowski performed by Łukasz Byrdy.

In Switzerland, the 8th edition of the Klosters Music festival reached a record attendance of approximately 5,000 visitors, marking a 10 percent increase from the previous year. The festival featured performances by the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Camerata Salzburg, and Sir András Schiff. The 2026 edition also marked the end of artistic director David Whelton’s eight-year tenure. Incoming director Christoph Müller has announced the lineup for the 2027 festival, which will include artists such as Vilde Frang, Fazil Say, and Sonya Yoncheva.
