Classical music performances scheduled for October 25

Two distinct classical music events are scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2026, in Switzerland and Germany.

In Mariastein, Switzerland, the Basilica Mariastein will host a performance of the Magnificat. Led by Christoph Anzböck and Eva Saladin, the Baroque orchestra Il Fuoco eterno will perform works by Antonio Maria Bononcini, alongside music by his brother Giovanni and George Frideric Handel. The program features eight singers accompanied by strings, theorbo, and organ.

In Esslingen Mettingen, Germany, pianist Hanna Choi will perform a candlelight concert at the St. Maria Catholic Church. The program spans various eras, including works by Beethoven, Erik Satie, Frédéric Chopin, Franz Liszt, and Claude Debussy. The event aims to utilize the sacred acoustics of the church and the atmosphere of candlelight to enhance the musical experience.
