Classical music season openings held in Berlin and Saarbrücken

Several classical music performances are scheduled in Germany. In Berlin, the Philharmonisches Streichquartett is set to perform chamber music at the Nicolaihaus on September 16, 2026. The program includes works by Franz Schubert, Johannes Brahms, and Ludwig van Beethoven.

In Saarbrücken, the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie opened its new season under chief conductor Josep Pons. The inaugural concert, themed ‘Olymp’, featured works by Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel. Pianist Javier Parianes performed Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major, and the program concluded with Ravel’s ‘Daphnis et Chloé’ suites.
