Classical musicians scheduled for performances in Krakow and Prague

Czech clarinetist Anna Paulová and conductor František Macek are scheduled to perform in Krakow as part of the Stars with Sinfonietta series. Accompanied by Sinfonietta Cracovia, the program will feature Mozart’s Overture to The Marriage of Figaro and his Clarinet Concerto in A major. Paulová will perform the concerto on the basset clarinet to maintain a sound profile closer to the composer’s original intent for Anton Stadler.

The evening will conclude with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A major. Macek, who previously led the Krakow Philharmonic, will conduct the Sinfonietta Cracovia.

In Prague, the Rudolf Firkušný Piano Festival will host Austrian pianist Lukas Sternath on November 5, 2026. The recital at the Rudolfinum will focus on the works of Franz Schubert and Franz Liszt, exploring themes of travel and human emotion through Liszt’s transcriptions of Schubert’s songs and Schubert’s Fantasy in C major.
