Claude AI custom skills and connectors streamline research and personal tasks

Anthropic’s Claude AI now offers a Custom Skills feature that lets users build reusable instructions for routine tasks. By uploading a spreadsheet of genealogical research, a user was able to generate a markdown research report, with citations, after guiding Claude through a series of prompts and fine‑tuning the skill.

Claude also provides Connectors that integrate directly with popular services such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Booking.com and Uber. These integrations allow natural‑language queries across apps—for example, summarising appointment emails or checking calendar availability—making Claude function as a personalized assistant, an advantage highlighted for users over 50.
