Claudia Frisoni celebrates 100th birthday in Torre Pedrera

Claudia Frisoni celebrated her 100th birthday with a ceremony at the Hotel Mirage in Torre Pedrera, attended by family, local administration representatives, and the National Association of Italian Partisans (ANPI).

Born in 1926 in France to Italian emigrants, Frisoni moved to Italy as a child and has lived in Torre Pedrera since 1936. Her life was significantly shaped by World War II; while recovering from injuries in a Bologna hospital, she met Ugo Fiocchi, a railway worker and partisan in the Stella Rossa Lupo Brigade. The couple later established a family before returning to Torre Pedrera in 1957.

Frisoni's century has spanned major historical shifts, including the transition from monarchy to republic and the post-war reconstruction. She is noted locally for her strong character and her skill in preparing traditional Romagnolo cuisine.
