Claudia Mariana David, dean of the Hunedoara Bar, dies at 49

Claudia Mariana David, the dean of the Hunedoara Bar, has passed away at the age of 49. Her death has caused significant mourning within the Romanian legal community.

David graduated from the Babeș-Bolyai University Faculty of Law in 1999 and began her career as a lawyer in 2002. In 2024, she made history by becoming the first female dean in the history of the Hunedoara Bar, having secured 137 votes in her election.

While the exact cause of death has not been officially confirmed, reports suggest she may have passed away in her sleep, with a heart attack being a possibility. Colleagues from the Argeș Bar and the Hunedoara Bar have expressed their condolences, describing her as a respected professional and a dedicated leader.
