Claudia Ruiz wins MasterChef 24/7 with 2 million peso prize
Claudia Ruiz has been crowned the winner of MasterChef 24/7 after a 15-week culinary competition. Competing against finalists Ixdit Vega, Flor Ramírez, and Bruno Bautista (known as Lancer), Ruiz secured the title of “Maestra del Fuego” by impressing judges Zahie Téllez, Adrián Herrera, and Alfonso “Poncho” Cadena with a four-course menu.
As the winner, Ruiz receives a prize of 2 million pesos, which is double the amount awarded in previous editions. Under Mexican tax law, this prize may be subject to federal and local income taxes.
Ruiz, originally from Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas, plans to use the winnings to fulfill several goals, including opening a three-story bakery and pastry shop that features glass walls so customers can watch the baking process. She also intends to use a portion of the funds to support her father’s medical needs.
