Claudia Sheinbaum announces social programs and infrastructure works in Michoacán

During a working tour in Michoacán, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo announced several social and infrastructure initiatives under the 'Michoacán por la Paz y la Justicia' plan. Key developments include the delivery of 931 'Vivienda para el Bienestar' homes in Morelia through Infonavit, Fovissste, and Conavi, contributing to a state goal of 82,000 new houses.

In Apatzingán, the administration reached a milestone by delivering 56,500 interest-free 'Créditos a la Palabra' through Financiera para el Bienestar (Finabien) to support women's entrepreneurship. Additional educational and social projects include the construction of two 'Margarita Maza' high schools, a sports center, and the incorporation of 500 youths into the 'Une al Barrio' community program.

Environmental and health updates include the supervision of wastewater treatment plant rehabilitations in the Lake Pátzcuaro basin by Conagua, involving an investment of 1.1 billion pesos. Furthermore, the President announced the reopening of the Vasco de Quiroga ISSSTE Hospital in November, which had been closed since 2012.
