Claudia Sheinbaum concludes national tour with second government report
President Claudia Sheinbaum has concluded her national tour to present her second government report, titled ‘Honesty and Results’. During her tour, which included stops in Sonora and Puebla, she highlighted various achievements of the ‘Fourth Transformation’ movement, including labor reforms that have led to 1.3 million new jobs between August 2025 and August 2026 and increased purchasing power through minimum wage hikes.
In Puebla, Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier announced significant infrastructure and agricultural investments, including nearly 6 billion pesos for repairing damage from previous rains and a ‘Revolution of the Field’ involving new machinery and agro-industrial plants. Additionally, over 4.2 million pesos were allocated to 19 COBAEP campus projects via the Obra Comunitaria program.
On the international and legislative fronts, Sheinbaum addressed the need for United Nations reform following Michelle Bachelet’s withdrawal from the UN Secretary-General race. She also reiterated her stance against foreign intervention and proposed a constitutional reform to prevent individuals with dual nationality from serving as President of Mexico.
