The Secretariat of Anticorruption and Good Government has declassified the asset declarations of 78 Navy officials, including former Secretary of the Navy Rafael Ojeda Durán. The documents, which were previously under national security seal until 2030, are now available via the DeclaraNet platform.

Ojeda Durán’s released records show annual net incomes of approximately 2 million pesos for recent years. His reported assets include a 2009 Mitsubishi Endeavor Limited vehicle and two mortgage loans totaling over 6.3 million pesos, one from Banjercito and another from ISSFAM. He reported no real estate holdings or business participations.

President Claudia Sheinbaum addressed the public scrutiny, clarifying that Ojeda Durán is not under criminal investigation and is not ‘hiding.’ She noted that he has been summoned to testify as a witness in a legal proceeding involving the Farías Laguna brothers, who are accused of fuel smuggling (huachicol fiscal). Sheinbaum confirmed that as a retired admiral, Ojeda Durán receives a monthly retirement pension of approximately 150,000 pesos.
